MADISON, NJ (March 24, 2010)— For its 14th year, Fairleigh Dickinson University is hosting Discovery Camp, a summer fun camp for children in grades 1-9 from June 28 – August 6, 2010 at the College of Florham in Madison, N.J. and the Metropolitan Campus, in Teaneck, N.J.
Camp Discovery at FDU is a day camp with emphasis on enriching activities and field trips. The camp is open to children entering 1st through 7th grades. Activities include science, theater, swimming, sports, arts-n-crafts, world discovery, games, and fun field trips. For campers in 8th and 9th grade, Discover Camp offers opportunities, workshops, and fun/educational field trips. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Weekly field trips for the 2010 season include the Bronx Zoo, Medieval Times, Hackensack Ice House, Bowler City, New York Hall of Science, and The Lion King on Broadway.
Session I runs from June 28 – July 9, Session II runs from July 12 – July 23 and Session III runs from July 26 – August 6. Campers can register for 2, 4, or 6 weeks of camp.
There will be a new camper open house at the College at Florham on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from 4:45 – 5:45 p.m. and at the Metropolitan Campus on Thursday, June 24 from 4:45- 5:45 p.m.
Camp Discovery is owned and operated by Fairleigh Dickinson University. It is a non-profit camp dedicated to bringing the highest quality camp experience at affordable costs.
